This workshop is an introductory overview of natives of eastern Colorado as well as some which are adaptable to this region.

crafts: Embroidery, Latch Hook, Basketry, Braided Rugs, Penny Rugs, Buttermaking, Knitting, Crocheting.

Children as well as adults are invited to participate.

More Hands-on History Workshops will be announced throughout the coming year!

We are looking for volunteers
to share expertise in folk
arts and other traditional skills including:
Weaving Spinning Candlemaking Soap-making
Blacksmithing Flint Knapping Woodcarving
Pottery Cooking and Baking Food Preservation Cheese-making Tatting and Sewing Crocheting
Knitting Lace Making, etc.
Prairie Heritage Arts Association
seeks to educate and inspire the local community to research and preserve heritage livestock breeds and heirloom plant varieties,
as well as encourage the preservation of historic places and natural sites. We are establishing guidelines for awards that
will be presented to those who cultivate local Heritage Gardens and Farms, and who own and work to preserve historic Heritage
Homes.
We are seeking donations of wool cards,
spinning wheels, drop spindles, looms, sewing machines, pottery wheel, surplus art supplies, library bookcases and furniture.
